In this module, you will learn what Faculty Issues are most important to a Distance Education Coordinator, and developing a distance education program.

Introduction:

Faculty Issues revolve mainly around class size, compensation for course design and training or development, along with ownership of courseware and other regionally significant factors.

Different skills may be required of faculty to teach adult learners via distance education, so therefore training is vital to the success of the development process. DE coordinators should be aware of the these faculty issues and communication with the local Academic Senate is essential.
