| The purpose
of this project is to provide information and training for
Distance Education Coordinators
(DE Coordinator) through online informational modules. It
will also serve as a resource for
DEC's in many aspects of managing a Distance Education Program
at their respective campuses.
The program
provides online modules for individuals
to review information concerning their position
as a Distance Ed Coordinator, or learn what's new in the
field.
Integrating programs and services of the Community College
System will promote student
access, student success, the use of technology mediated
instruction, and will strengthen the
effectiveness of
distance
learning programs.
You can begin reviewing the modules using the Module List link.
SPECIAL NOTE:
|
The Chancellor’s Office has developed a set of learning modules and instructional materials on distance education administration in the California Community College System entitled Distance Education Coordinators Online (DEConline). While primarily developed to assist distance education coordinators, any individual can use these modules to learn about the administration of distance education in the California Community College System.
In addition to individual usage, the materials may also be used as part of an instructional program for credit and/or continuing education units where arranged. These may include California community colleges and through partnerships, the University of California, the California State University, and/or private colleges/universities. When offered as an instructional course, a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the Chancellor’s Office of the California Community College District and partners (if any) must be developed prior to the course being offered.
